M Kiera Harris,
You’re welcome to pick your family however you want, I respect your view that you aren’t my sibling.
Being “impatient with an obsession over excessive medicalization,” while might apply to some people (very few, if any, that I’ve personally known — and I know people who have de-transitioned) it definitely isn’t the normal experience for those who seek this medical care (it’s fine not to, too — trans people are obviously very diverse in our desires and needs). It’s understandable when appropriate medical care (which is generally what I’m talking about here) being delayed impacts a trans person’s emotional state, particularly with the amount of time and effort put into it. It is those siblings that I am most terrified about.
Disclaimer: I may be a bit older than you think.
